Tom nan Clach Community Liaison Forum meets again
The first meeting of the year for the Tom nan Clach Community Liaison Forum took place last night in Carrbridge Village Hall. The meeting brought together representatives of all of the surrounding communities and allowed them to meet Ken Hardie, Infinergy’s Senior Construction Manager, who is responsible for the construction of Tom nan Clach Wind Farm.
Infinergy updated the group regarding the status of the Tom nan Clach Repowering Appeal and the application to extend the existing Tom nan Clach consent. Currently work is ongoing to satisfy the various pre-development conditions and a tender process is ongoing to find a suitable enabling works contractor who will start work this summer with road upgrades to the B9007 and the access roads on site.
While a turbine delivery route has been identified, the actual turbines themselves have not been finalised and, like the Balance of Plant contract, will go through a fully competitive tender process. This will of course also be influenced by the outcome of the Tom nan Clach Repowering appeal.
